HAWAIIAN STYLE TEACHERS
Rocky Asing is a Kahuna Pohaku, or master stone carver and stoned mason, born and raised in the Papakolea Hawaiian Homesteads of Honolulu, O`ahu. An enthusiastic teacher and holder of all kines of folk-wisdom, Rocky also loves sharing his knowledge of hand-drumming, cooking and weaving fences and light structures such as sweat lodges and smoke houses from the abundant strawberry guava thickets of the Big Island. His lava rock carvings can be seen at the web-gallery of the Hawai`i Treasure Mill. www.hawaiitreasuremill.com/

Bobby Grimes is a former Motown G.M. engineer and self-taught finish carpenter who 'bluffed' his way into building a three hundred thousand dollar banister and stair case at one of the many luxury estates along the N. Kona Coast of the Big Island. Leaving the opulence and waste of mansion construction behind after falling for the look and the love of the bamboo lifestyle, Bobby recently finished work on a custom bamboo/reclaimed lumber tree house near the Kilauea Volcano and is an avid biodynamic farmer and creator of the special "vortex compost tea brewer." Photos of his work can be seen on the web at http://picasaweb.google.com/biodynamichawaii
